A WEEK IN REVEWE: APR 21-APR 27

Puddin Pop and I are working on our rhythm for milking. As if someone was about to steal her cornbread, she gobbles her grain up so fast that I barely have had enough time to begin milking. Slowing down a millisecond, I have been able to milk about a pint each day.

Oh the possibilities with fresh milk! I made banana ice cream, half & half and drank the rest of it. I pulled out recipes for butter and cheese for next week. This isn’t milk related…I made mayonnaise from fresh eggs as well. It will keep for a week and the creaminess was heavenly.

Tommy installed an electric hoist to replace the manual pulley system for getting hay down from the loft. Weighing in at 60-90 lbs, the bales practically tried to take me down with them with the pulley system. And boy, what a workout trying to pull one of those suckers into the loft for storage! But now with our new fandangled technology, my death defying acts are finished. I no longer dread getting hay down from the loft.

Enjoy our WEEK IN REVEWE!
