A Girl and her Truck

February 22, 2017 Woolly
Heartbeat in all of her glory

Heartbeat in all of her glory

There is something to be said about a girl and her truck.  My truck's name is Heartbeat and she has been with me for seventeen years.  Over the past week, she upgraded to the Farm Club and got herself some shiny, red Farm Use Tags.

Heartbeat hasn't been vacuumed in at least five years and she is showing rust on the edge of the hood.  Boy, does she love a dog to be riding in her back seat and the bass of her pipes rumbling.

Heartbeat and I packed up our belongings and headed to Virginia Beach in the year of 2000 to stay the summer with my aunt and uncle.  Needless to say, we ended up living with them for two years and we never left Virginia.

When I drive Heartbeat, life moves a little bit slower with the windows down and pride swells in my chest.
